The hook
The only Taco Bell with a walk-up window for surfers and a beach out the back door.
01Why it's worth it
On the sand at Pacifica's Linda Mar Beach sits a Taco Bell that, against all odds, is beloved: a low building with a walk-up window, a patio, and surfboard racks, where wetsuited surfers come straight off the waves for a burrito and beginners refuel after a lesson. People only half-joke that it's the most beautiful Taco Bell in the world, because eating fast food with sand on your feet and Pacific fog rolling in hits completely differently than a strip-mall drive-thru. It isn't fine dining and isn't pretending to be. It's a chain that happens to have the best location in its entire empire, and leaning into that absurdity is the whole point.
02How to experience it
It's right on Highway 1 at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica. Order at the walk-up window, take it to the beach patio, and watch the surfers. Sunset with the fog is peak. Pair it with a Devil's Slide walk just up the road.
